ABOUT THE COMPANY:
Rapidly growing seed-stage B2B Customer Success startup (targeting a Series A in early 2021) backed by prominent seed VC Founder Collective (Uber, Airbnb , Hotel Tonight) and 2048.vc. The Customer Success space is expanding rapidly as a focal point for businesses, now moreso than ever with COVID tailwinds helping companies realize the importance of retention and expansion. Despite competing with longstanding legacy giants like Gainsight, as a team of only 8 we're proud to already work with incredible companies like Segment, Zapier, and Productboard, with a net customer base of around 80 companies.
We recently crossed the half million ARR mark and ae are winning business in the SMB and early Mid-Market in head to head evaluations against a highly saturated base of competitors at a market-leading rate, and our biggest current challenge is brand equity and long-term strategic positioning.
(We are based in NYC, but remote is totally fine)
We are looking for an experienced, strategic, and hands-on marketing leader who can help us position our platform and brand strategically amongst a relatively commoditized set of legacy incumbents, and ultimately own our overall marketing strategy.
You'll be the full creator and owner of all things marketing related, whether it be our hiring, lead strategy, brand voice, website, or anything marketing-facing. You'll work side by side with our CEO and cross-functionally with the sales and customer success teams.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Ultimately - you tell us; we're looking for a leader who has the experience and excitement about building a brand from the (almost) ground up, and we're not the experts. That said, we can imagine some obvious ideas, such as:
• Create and oversee the planning, development, and execution of Vitally's global brand vision, messaging, and strategy across all marketing channels and events. • Set goals, OKRs, and ultimately track and report on quantifiable marketing metrics across the top of the funnel • Define our ICP and top-of-funnel go-to-market strategy in the short and long-term to maximize our long-term revenue journey • Conduct and analyze research on the competitive landscape to uncover competitive advantages, novel positioning, and capitalize on current and forthcoming trends
THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
• 5+ years minimum of proven B2B SaaS experience specifically • Strategic and KPI driven mentality, with an initial willingness to also be a ground-level operator as we scale • Familiarity with customer success and revenue processes at B2B SaaS companies • Robust experience with SFDC and modern marketing tech stacks • Cross functional marketing familiarity and experience building, hiring, and leading effective marketing organizations
